Mark Bitting

Mortgage Production Manager

(Carlisle) Mark E. Bitting joined F&M Trust as the bank’s mortgage production manager.  In addition, he will serve as mortgage sales manager and mortgage originator in Cumberland County.

Bitting joins F&M Trust with over 25 years of experience in the mortgage banking industry.  He began his career at Keystone Financial as a mortgage originator and became vice president of mortgage sales at M&T Bank for sections of the central Pennsylvania market. He joined American Home Bank in 2001 as a senior vice president. American Home Bank was later acquired by First National Bank of Chester County before becoming Graystone Mortgage, where he most recently served as a mortgage advisor.  He has developed a reputation for his commitment to construction lending, working directly with several of South Central Pennsylvania's leading homebuilders.

In his capacity as mortgage production manager at F&M Trust, Bitting will assist in developing new mortgage services and strategies to enhance loan production. He will also play a dual role as a mortgage originator in Cumberland County as well as sales manager for the mortgage origination function. He will be responsible for working directly with real estate agents, builders, and other third parties to generate mortgage loan production.  Additionally, he will be responsible for hiring, managing and coaching the bank's mortgage originators to attain mortgage production goals and business development. 

A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Bitting has a Bachelor of Science degree in business/economics with a concentration on finance. He has completed numerous courses offered by the American Bankers Association (ABA) and Mortgage Bankers Association. He has been active in the community serving in a variety of roles including club lacrosse coach for Cumberland Valley, Middlesex youth baseball coach, and past board member of Boy Scouts of America Pack 182 A current member of the Rotary Club of Carlisle, Bitting also is a board member of Carlisle Opportunity Homes and CPARC, where he serves as treasurer.  A native of central Pennsylvania, he and his wife, Diana, have two children.
